Perbedaan Kinerja Karyawan Tetap Dan Karyawan Kontrak Pada Industri Mebel

Abstract

Industri mebel merupakan sektor yang perkembangannya sangat kompetitif namun
cenderung fluktuatif dalam permintaan. Penyerapan tenaga kerja yang tinggi pada industri
mebel menuntut upaya efisiensi agar tenaga kerja tidak menjadi beban produksi, sehingga
perusahaan meenerapkan sistem kontrak pada karyawan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk
menganalisis apakah terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kinerja pada karyawan tetap
dengan karyawan kontrak. Penelitian dilakukan di 2 perusahaan di Jawa Timur. Teknik
sampling menggunakan Cluster random sampling, sehingga diperoleh 50 karyawan tetap dan
50 karyawan kontrak sebagai sampel penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan .data melalui
kuisioner, studi pendahuluan, wawancara, observasi serta kajian publikasi ilmiah. Desain
penelitian ini Kuantitatif dengan pendekatan komparatif dua sampel. Analisis menggunakan
Independent Samples T Test dengan program SPSS versi 23. Hasil penelitian membuktikan
bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kinerja pada karyawan tetap dengan
karyawan kontrak sebesar 1.820. Karyawan kontrak rata-rata memiliki kinerja lebih baik
(mean 24,56) daripada karyawan tetap (mean 22,74) .
